I've been fascinated with the constellations since my father first took me stargazing as a little girl. Looking up, through telescopes in the mountains, or in the back garden as the milky way danced so crisp and clearly above us, I felt like a small part of it all.

 It was comforting, in a way, to know that no matter where I was, by looking up at the sky, I could know where I was.

This blog is a collection of photos of my daily life, work, and joys. A way to remember some 'Celestial' moments that help me navigate back to the feeling of home.

Uh...I never know what to write about myself.

It's almost as bad as leaving a message on your answering machine. Ramble, ramble...

Does anyone still have those? Or are we all cell phone wielding people now?

I'm a woman, a daughter, a sister, an artist, a photographer, a teacher, a wife, and a new mommy.

I dearly love my family; those who are genetically related and those whom I've spiritually grafted into my heart.

I grew up on both coasts of the United States. Oceans, mountains, gardens, museums, and kitchens are all places that give me comfort and strength.
