The gods must be freezing...

What the crap?

Too $@%* COLD

Today as I walked to school it was -13 degrees.

The vapor from my breath froze my hair, as in it turned completely white.

At noon it was up to +11. What a relief!

I've promised myself that if the mercury goes above the mid 20's tomorrow i'm throwing a luau.

Better yet--I'll fly to Hawaii.

UGH!

So embarrassed..

I fell in the shower today...a thing I've never done before--

I hit my head, and now I have a mild concussion.

How lame!

All is well now, the dizziness is gone, but i'm still sore.

Now I get to explain to my teachers why I wasn't at school today.

*sigh*

5 points to anyone who can come up with a better-- less embarrassing story to tell.

Positively besotted with Kershisnik

I also love his Nativity painting--it makes me cry. It's just so powerful to see in person... but when I tried to take a picture of it at the BYU exhibit, I got yelled at. ( Ironically, it was my favorite piece in the whole show, and the only one they wouldn't let me snap!) Luckily Dad bought a poster of it in the museum store.

Something about his approach, it's anitiquated, and familiar--like moments from childhood. It's also honest and awkward..I LOVE it.

I'm a DOCENT!

Just for our University gallery--but i'm so excited. I get to give tours to 80+students on Thursdays throughout the semester! Also--i'll be available for the other elementary students to come through for a tour.

This will be such good experience!

Maybe i'll go be a docent at the MOMA---like this woman that I shadowed for an afternoon.

EDUCATIONAL PSYCH: Refreshing, (thank you lord!) Insightful, 8 texts to read by April

ART METHODS 1: Paperwork, Paperwork, Observation of classrooms

ART METHODS 2: Lesson plans, forming curriculum, Nightmare stories---designed to help prepare us...

ART SEMINAR: Lectures, Inspirational, too many options...want to do it all!

I love the iTunes store---
Today I bought music from "The Mission", "Chocolat", and Regina Spektor. Mmmm!

It'll be a while...

until my feet are back on that shore again...

It's snowy and cold.

I hate Idaho in January.

I'd rather be in Maine, in August....

Sitting around the kitchen table with Mom---with flowers in her hair.

*sigh*

In other news:

I'm still learning to say, "what'd ya bring me?"
